A serial killer begins sending death across the Northeastern States. The first victim is Ginger McGuire, a Baltimore television reporter. Hunter Morgan is asked to assist when she fails to appear for a broadcast.

Baltimore Police Detective Bill Wilson discovers McGuire’s fentanyl murder weapon arrived via the U.S. Postal System.

Soon, two other mail-related deaths follow in Maryland. A death in Northern Virginia sparks a task force formation by an assortment of federal agencies.

Cletis Monroe is a member of a high-end auto theft ring. Their very select and wealthy clientele are interested in only the most luxurious autos. A stolen Bentley and Bugatti tie Cletis to the fentanyl murders.

The link allows former Deputy Special Agent in Charge Joe D’Elia to start a parallel investigation of the task force. Much to the chagrin of former associate Lonnie Jerry, Joe is constantly a few steps ahead of the federal investigation.

Baltimore Mirror reporter Dusty Rhode’s relationship with a prime suspect and her assistant’s investigative skills finally assist D’Elia and Morgan in solving the cases with a surprise ending.
